How to find USB mass storage log in Win 7?

Do if USB is not recognized by your Windows 7 system.

Now at first let us start with the basic.
The first thing which you will do is you will remove the USB driver from one port and then use it in another port to check if USB is recognized or not.

Now also the other thing to make sure is try to use your USB device in another system to make sure that it is actually working or not.
So, if you followed both of the steps above and if it doesn't solved your problem the let's see what we can do next.
  1.  What you do is Right click on "This PC".
  2.  Go to "Properties".
  3.  Then click on "Device manager" to open it.
  4.  Then scroll down and look for "universal serial bus controller".
  5.  Now you will options here "USB mass storage device".
  6.  What you do is right click on it, then "Uninstall".
  7.  Click on "OK".
Now once you have uninstalled the USB mass storage what you do is remove your remove your USB drive and reinstall it again to check if this will fix the problem or not.
Now the other thing what we can do is we can go to the registry editor and check if we have disabled USB from registry editor.
Sometimes we may disable it from registry editor and we forget.
So, for that one what you will do is you need to run registry editor.
Press "Windows" and "R" button on the keyboard to pen this Run dialog box.
Then type "regedit" to open registry editor.
 Click on "Yes".
Now once the registry editor windows is opened what we will do is we will go to H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
  1.  We will expand "system".
  2.  We will expand Current Version.
  3.  Okay Current Control Set, sorry.
  4.  Then we will go to services here.
  5.  Then we will look for USB Storage, USB Storage okay.
So, once you have gone to the USB storage, now what you need to do is you need to check the value of this "start".

Make sure that the value of start is "3".
 Double click on it.
You will see the value of start here is "3".
If the value of start is "4" instead of '3"

Then what happens is it will disable all the USB ports so that whenever you install any USB devices it won't be detected by Windows 10 or Windows system. So, make sure that the value of this USB storage is always 3.
 Okay.
Now the other thing to check is to make sure, you need to make sure that USB ports, they are not disabled by they are not disabled from Group policy.

So, what we need to do is we need to run "Group Policy Editor" and check it.
Press "Windows" and "R" button on the keyboard.

 Then type "gpedit.msc".
By the inorder to run group policy or registry editor you need to log into your system as an administrator.

  •  So, let me open group policy.
  •  So, once you have opened Group policy editor, you go this Administrative Templates here.
  •  Go to "Administrative Templates".
  •  Go to "System".
  •  Scroll down and look for "Removable storage Access".
Now you need to make sure that these options "Deny execute access", "Deny read access"
or "Deny write access" all of them should be, it should be "Not configured" so that USB storage, USB devices can be read or they can be written or they can be executed.
So, once you go to group policy editor, make sure that "Remove disk deny execute access", "Deny read access", "Deny write access" and this one "All removable storage classes", these options should be not configured.
If it is "enabled" then your system can not read or open the USB device.
So, follow these steps and I am sure you can fix this problem.
